Hi and thanks for visiting my site. My name is Alex, I am from Romania and I am interested mainly in everything that has to do with engineering, technology and applied sciences. I have always been fascinated by how things work (as a kid, I couldn't wait for toys to break, so I could take them apart and see what's inside). I also like to organise and structure information (flashcards, charts, schedules, task boards, lists, databases). It's something between therapy and OCD.
With an inclination for such geeky stuff, sooner or later I had to end up working with computers and technology, which is still a passion today, after around 15 years since I first started typing something on a keyboard.

On the other side, I am a country boy, a peasant. I had a very old style childhood, working the fields, taking care of cows and pigs, fishing in the pond and getting lost in the forest, looking for mushrooms or what not. City life was never something I could fit into, even though I lived in a big metropolis for a few years and I know what it's like. I guess I will always be a yokel at heart and there's nothing to do about it.
Nevertheless, I have always tried to find a balance between both these two facets, because I strongly believe that life is about balance. Man, you should try coding some API end-points after one hour of working the soil and pulling weeds. Crystal clear mind right there.

This website is where I share some of my experiences, my discoveries, my knowledge and my projects; in some way or another. Once, as a form of expression and to exteriorize ideas and thoughts in order to look at them from a different perspective. Twice, to share with others, to know people and to learn from those with similar interests.
